OUGD501 / Practical Research 2

For the practical work to create alongside the essay 'What is the roe of graphic design within the film industry", I've been in touch with someone studying at Northern Film School and they've sent over small scripts which I could create some graphic props for.

After reading through many a few have been selected as they're found to be most appropriate - this is due to more exposure to graphic props. One is called Into The Woods, this is a detective scene in which there are a lot of books etc. I approached this in the same way in which Annie Atkins and Eric Scott Rosenburg have, highlighting all the parts of the script which could involve graphic props.

In Into The Woods, the words highlighted are: Books, Eastern woven rug, hardback scientific books, a whiskey bottle (label), papers - files - office looking, one marked PROM-X5, a small viral of clear liquid with a label marked PROM-X5.

Starting off with the hardback scientific books, for research looking in to Leeds University library was beneficial. These are pictures of hardback scientific books. A lot of them had embossed titles as well as being foiled.
